Accessing online and remote course content

As you may know, WOU is transitioning its learning management system from Moodle to Canvas. During this academic year, some courses will be taught in Moodle and others will be taught in Canvas. Below are instructions for how to access Canvas and Moodle.
Students: Please note that you may not be able to see your courses until your instructor has “published” them or, in some instances, until the start of the term or course officially begins.

Canvas Access

Canvas accounts have been created for all WOU faculty, staff, and studentswith active fall enrollments. Canvas can be accessed in one of two ways:
1.) Using the link: wou.instructure.com/login/saml
2.) Through the portal: Portal Access for Canvas is still being optimized. You should have a channel in your portal that says “Access Course Content” and contains a button for both Canvas and Moodle. For most users, this channel will be at the bottom of your portal but can be dragged up to the top of your portal for easy access.
This shows the channel for course content. The title is Access Course Content and it has buttons for both Moodle and Canvas.

Moodle Access

Moodle can be accessed using the WOU Portal. Look for the Moodle icon on the toolbar at the top of the page.
This shows the location of the Moodle button. It is at the top left of the portal, underneath the PORTAL logo, among the logos for different services.

Thank you for your patience during this implementation.
