Financial donors may give an unrestricted gift that will enhance the five priority areas below, or they may work with Chelle Batchelor, Dean of Library and Academic Innovation, to fund a program of special interest. Donate now through the WOU Hamersly Library Giving Page.

Keep Hamersly Beautiful

Wayne and Lynn Hamersly, with the help of other generous donors, provided the initial funding from which our beautiful library was built. Now we need continued support for space upgrades and updated technology to support student learning. See the Learning Commons for an example of what we can do, with your help, to keep Hamersly beautiful.

Student Scholarships, Awards and Incentives

With your help, the Library could provide scholarships for student employees, research awards for student research utilizing library resources, stipends and/or other incentives for students participating in library activities, focus groups, and peer mentoring opportunities.

Staff and Faculty Excellence

The knowledge and expertise of our faculty and staff are an indispensable asset to our community. Your donated funds will support library and academic innovation-related professional development (for all WOU faculty & staff), sponsored talks and lectures, and staff appreciation.

Collections

The library collections budget is mostly used to sustain essential journal and database subscriptions, the cost of which goes up every year. Because of this, our funding to buy new books has been limited for at least the past decade. With your help, we could expand our print and e-book collections.

Archives

Our archives facility protects and preserves WOU’s history. It was built from donated funds twenty years ago, and we now need support to keep the facility up to date.
