Polk Libraries and Information Network
ABOUT PLIN
The Polk Library Information Network (PLIN) was a consortium of the libraries of Dallas, Independence, Monmouth, and Western Oregon University that cooperatee to provide library and information resources to city and county residents and to the students, faculty and staff of the university.
THE LIBRARIES
Dallas, Independence, and Monmouth Public Libraries provide many materials which can be borrowed free of charge by local residents: books for children and adults, large-print books, videos, books on tape, and compact disks. Computers are available for public use.
Each public library has programs for children and adults, will deliver books to the homebound, and can help you find information and obtain books for you from other libraries.
Western Oregon University Library is open to the public during the day. Area residents can obtain special borrowing privileges. The WOU Library offers help in finding information in its academic-level collections of books and journals on education, the humanities, science, and the social sciences.
