What if a story could become real? Criminals that have committed a crime have the ability to lie, but evidence and science do not, they just have to be interpreted. Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, also referred to as BPA, is a fascinating discipline that tells a story of how the events of a crime scene unfolded. Using principles from the STEM community such as math, physics, chemistry, and biology, BPA draws conclusions from data stored in the shape and location of bloodstains. Such conclusions can expose many details of a crime, including movements, rough physical descriptions, and quantities of victims and perpetrators. This presentation encompasses the methods behind how to identify patterns in blood that lead to these scientific conclusions. Blood is our life force, and we are preserved in all its beauty when it shares our last moments with the world. Knowledge is power, and in this case, knowledge takes the form of blood.
