Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000

Women and Social Movements in the United States, 1600-2000 provides online full-text access to more than 75 projects that interpret and present historic documents, most of which are not otherwise available online. Each project poses an interpretive question and provides a collection of documents that address the question. The site includes more than 2,300 documents, 800 images, and nearly 800 links to other websites. The publisher intends to add twelve new document projects annually, and are now accepting submissions of document projects for online publication consideration.

Need a break from reading textbooks? Check out one of the paperbacks from our new popular reading collection for some relaxing reading. This new collection is located near HL108, and a list of titles is available in the course reserves under the professor name “Popular Reading”.

Monmouth Public Library (MPL) offers both – and all you need to get a MPL card is your WOU ID! Through Library 2 Go, your MPL card lets you download best selling digital audio titles 24/7 to your PC and transfer audio books to your MP3 or burn onto CD for listening on-the-go. MPL is also a member of CCRLS, which gives you access to the collections of the public libraries in Polk, Marion, and Yamhill counties – all delivered to Monmouth. New look for our online catalog

Take a look at what we’ve been up to this summer! Our online catalog has a whole new look. We have also implemented some new features, such as the ability to save your preferred searches and your reading history. We will offer workshops this fall, schedule TBA.

New service from Classical Music Library

Free download of the week
Each week, Classical Music Library will make one complete recording from their database available for free download. Each recording will remain available for approximately one week. Users can select the format they would like, either MP3 or WMA, and then download the tracks onto their personal computers, transfer them to iPods and other MP3 players, or burn them onto discs. Users can also register to receive e-mail notifications directly from Classical Music Library.
